Inside the Basilica-Cathedral Notre-Dame de Québec can be found the funeral chapel of Saint François de Laval, visited yearly by 15,000 pilgrims asking for his intercession to help a sick family member, married couples wishing to have children, persons wanting to be freed from addictions.
Located close by is the Centre d’animation François-De Laval, allowing visitors to better get acquainted with the life, spiritual life, challenges and works of this talented man. Called an “Apostle of America”, we discover a skilled business man, a born teacher, who cultivated an intense devotion to the Virgin Mary and the Holy Family.
Each station presents a particular theme, shown by short textual descriptions or by an animated or sound succeeding illustrations. The visitor can go through the exhibit at his or her own rhythm, according to his or her interests. He can also discover the authentic papal bull, signed by Pope Francis, on April 2nd, 2014, allowing for the canonization of François de Laval. Entrance is free and regulated by the opening hours of the Basilica-Cathedral Notre-Dame de Québec
